Congratulations on your nomination to Yonsei University!
Now, you are ready to apply to Yonsei. They will send you an email with an application guide attached. They will also provide you with the login information that you will need to access the online application. From there on forward, the process of applying to Yonsei is very simple! Here's what you need:
COPY OF PASSPORT
Simply scan your passport and upload it onto the online application.
ID PICTURE
I just took a regular passport photo (I recommend getting this done at Campus Center because it's cheap for students and is conveniently located on campus!) and once again, scanned it and uploaded it onto the online application. Others have said they had to crop theirs, but I uploaded mine and was told nothing so this works!
"STUDY PLAN"
On the online application, there is a downloadable Word document with several questions on it. Just fill it out and upload!
CURRENT TRANSCRIPT
Make sure you get your OFFICIAL transcript from the Office of the Registrar (if paying cash or debit) or the Cashier's Office (if paying cash) both located at QLC. Fill out a transcript request form (click here) and turn it in. Wait about 5 business days to pick it up. Once you pick it up, open it up, scan it, and upload. Really simple, but don't wait until the last minute!
HEALTH INSURANCE
Since your actual proof for insurance won't come in on time before the deadline for your application to Yonsei, MIX will send you a letter ensuring that you will have insurance covering your period of stay in Korea. Upload this as your proof for health insurance and once your actual insurance document comes in, upload that since Yonsei will expect you to upload the actual document by mid-January. So don't panic and if you have any questions, ask Kathy, the MIX advisor, right away!
That's it! Super simple, but just make sure of the deadlines because everything works on KOREAN TIME and not HAWAII TIME. Therefore, definitely DON'T wait until the last minute and do everything as soon as possible so you won't be panicking as the deadline approaches. Good luck!
*For reference, I received my application guide around the start of September and received my acceptance letter via email around mid-November.
